Oil prices gained in Asian trade today after US data showed a fall in energy stockpiles ahead of an OPEC meeting next week, dealers said.At 0810 IST New York's main contract, light sweet crude for January delivery was up 15 cents at $62.34 a barrel from $62.19 in late US trade yesterday.
