Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP today criticised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his comments that the Centre was meting out "different treatment" to Pakistan and China, saying the CM himself was guilty of doing so.

"By accusing India of applying two different yardsticks in dealing with Pakistan and China and by calling for a firm response to Chinese incursion in Daulat Beg Oldi area, CM has inadvertently got himself caught on the wrong foot," state BJP spokesperson Jitendra Singh told reporters here today.

"The ruling party has been time and again found feeling shy of using strong words against Pakistan even when its troops carried out the most heinous act of beheading the Indian soldiers," Singh said.

The BJP leader appealed to the ruling party leadership to be statesmanly in its approach and avoid the temptation of playing politics in matters concerning India's security.
