The main opposition Congress party in Madhya Pradesh Assembly would raise issues of corruption at various levels and the deteriorating law and order conditions in the monsoon session beginning tomorrow.

Speaking to mediapersons deputy leader of the Congress in the state Assembly, Choudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi, said the ruling BJP government had failed to arrest increasing corruption at administrative and political levels and Congress had decided to corner the government on the issue in the coming session.

“For the first time fear has gripped society, particularly among women, due to deteriorating law and order. But the government curtails all assembly sessions to just passing of supplementary budgets and shies away from discussion on important issues”, he added.

He said the Congress had given notices for adjournment motions to discuss various important issues but none of these had been accepted in the House. The session will have nine sittings in the session from July19-30 . Another adjunct budget and cotton seed Bill are likely to be tabled during this session.
