The Orissa government has constituted a Fitment Committee (FC) to study the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission (SPC) and its likely impact on state exchequer if the recommendations are implemented by the state government.
The Committee, headed by the Development Commissioner R N Bohidar, has home secretary, water resources secretary, and agriculture secretary, two senior officials (one special secretary and one additional secretary) of the state finance department as members.
FC will look into prevailing anomalies between the recommendations of the fifth pay commission and the revised salary paid to various categories of state government employees.
