Orissa will be the partner state for the India International Trade Fair (IITF), 2008 to be held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the event will be held from 14th to 27th November, this year.
Kerala will be the focus state. The theme of this year’s event is ‘infrastructure and women empowerment’.
B P Mohanty, director, I&PR, Orissa government, said, a preparatory committee meeting chaired by the chief secretary, Ajit Kumar Tripathy was held recently to make arrangements for participation in the event. There will be a Orissa pavilion in Pragati Maidan.
