After achieving limited success in wooing software investors to the state, the Government of Orissa has plans to bring an IT hardware policy next year to give a boost to the sector, said Pradeep Jena, the state IT secretary.
“The draft on IT hardware policy has been prepared already. It will be put up to the government very soon,” Jena said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of IT Expo here.
Since 2001, the state has been able to attract some investment in software sector but not many investors have shown interest to set up hardware facilities in the state, like in many other states.
