The annual session of the eastern region chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was transformed into a political platform on Wednesday when West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya slammed the US-Britain aggression in Iraq.
After completing his usual written speech where he tried to hardsell Bengal as the preferred state for investment, Bhattacharya left the business community stunned with scathing criticism of the coalition force in Iraq. The audience also included the US consul general and British deputy high commissioner in Kolkata.
