The main theme of the summit will be 'Implementing India.'

"While India has tremendous potential to sustain the high growth and inclusive economy, it needs to get from words to action by keeping up with crucial reforms and addressing the country's poor infrastructure," WEF Director and Head of Asia Sushant Palakurthi Rao said.

He said, the summit would also take up for discussion the burning issue of protectionism. Several countries in the world are resorting to protectionist measures even as the global economy is grappling with a fragile recovery.

India head of Walmart and the Metro Cash and Carry Rajeev Bakshi are expected to press for liberalising policy in multi-brand retail during the deliberations.
