Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has accused Pakistan of waging a low-intensity conflict in the state. Addressing the first Civil Military Liason Conference here recently after seven long years, the chief minister alleged that Pakistan would not allow us peace as their armys survival depended on continuing conflict in Kashmir.
Abdullah said Pakistan had opted for a low intensity conflict as they knew they were no match to the mighty Indian forces. He added that Pakistan had suffered its first major defeat in the proxy war in Kashmir when people participated in the elections and elected their representatives for Lok Sabha and the Assembly.
Abdullah, however, said that this was not a ground for complacency and we should always be on guard and prepared for any eventuality. Pakistans intensified mischief could not be ruled out in Kashmir in view of India gaining prominence in world affairs.
