Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Praful Patel will meet the heads of central public sector enterprises (CPSE) on Wednesday to discuss key issues concerning the PSUs financial health.
"This interaction will provide an important opportunity as well as a forum to deliberate on various key issues concerning CPSEs which need attention. It will also facilitate the formulation of appropriate policy," an official statement said today.
After taking over the charge as the Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister, this would be his first meeting with the senior officials of state-owned enterprises.
Prior to this, Patel was the Civil Aviation Minister (Independent Charge).
The minister would also release the Public Enterprises Survey 2009-10 which is a comprehensive report on the appraisal of the working of CPSEs.
As per official estimates, there are 249 CPSEs in the country.
