The state government has invited the members of the coordination committee of the Democratic Front as well as other parties to take up the issue of tariff hike sanctioned recently by the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC).
Revealing this, senior Janta Dal (Secular) leader N D Patil told mediapersons that his party would demand a rethink on the proposed tariff hike or seek the burden of the hike to be borne through government subsidy.
