The state revenue minister SN Patro today urged the industry department to ask Tatas to set up its proposed Coal-to-Liquid (CTL) project at Gopalpur in Ganjam district by utilizing the land which the group company Tata Steel acquired for its jinxed steel project 13 years ago.
The minister said, “I have asked secretary, industry department, to direct Tatas to set up its proposed CLT plant at Gopalpur”. Earlier several displaced people including MLA (Gopalpur) Pradip Panigrahi had raised demands to this effect.
