PEC invites bid to import 12,000 tonne RBD palmolien

 State-run trading corporation PEC has invited bids to import 12,000 tonne  RBD palmolien.     

The bidding process for the tender will remain open till October 27, PEC said in its website.     

The pulses, to be either imported from Indonesia or Malaysia, should be free from solid particles, adulterants, sediments, suspended and other foreign matter, separated water and added colouring or flavouring substances, it said.     

It also specified that the import should have certificate from the foreign suppliers that the material is free from argemone oil, mineral oils, toxic matter or any other oil of vegetable or animal origin.     


The firms, which do not have past track record of supply of edible oil to any of the Public Sector Undertakings, should furnish details on quantity of RBD Palmolien to be imported for the ports of Chennai and Tuticorin.     

The bid should be made for the entire tender quantity and parties can opt for quoting for additional quantities, it added.
