The bids for purchase of RBD palmolein would close on April 25 and the decision on a tender would be taken on the same day, the company said on its website.
RBD Palmolein should be imported from Indonesia and Malaysia and the shipments should arrive at the ports of Kandla, Mundra, Mumbai, Chennai, Kakinada, Tuticorin and Haldia between June 1-15.
It specified that the trader should bid for the entire tender quantity of edible oil. In a separate tender, PEC has invited bids for import of 9,000 tonne of pulses.
The tender would close on April 29 and the decision on the same would be taken by May 6. It said that it would buy 6,000 tonne of urad and 3,000 tonne of lemon toor grown during current season in Myanmar.
PEC said that the bidder should bid for minimum quantity of 1,000 tonne for each item and multiples of 500 tonne thereafter. The pulses should be delivered at ports of Mumbai and Chennai between May and June, it said.
