The 1,700 dealers in Maharashtra have decided to pass on the one per cent transaction fee on petrol and diesel, which will be over and above the price hike. Customers in the state will have to shell out an extra 33 paise in case of petrol and 22 paise per litre of diesel from June 10.

The ministry of petroleum and natural gas today decided to increase the price of transportation fuels, which will bring the cost of petrol after June 10 to Rs 33.78 per litre and of diesel to Rs 23.07 per litre. The hike is on account of increasing price of crude in the international market.
