PM to conduct aerial survey of flood-hit Andhra tomorrow

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to conduct an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

The Prime Minister would arrive at Vijayawada airport from Delhi at 1425 hours and would go for an aerial survey of the flood-ravaged districts of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister K Rosaiah told reporters here today.

Singh would return to Vijayawada airport at 1515 hours and from there he would leave for Hyderabad.

He will hold a review meeting on flood relief work from 1645 hours to 1730 hours at the Raj Bhavan, where he will take a night halt.

On Saturday, Singh would leave from the international airport here at 0900 hours for Raichur to conduct aerial survey of the flood-hit areas of Karnataka.

From Raichur, he will return to the airport here at 1225 hours and leave for Delhi at 1230 hours.

Rosaiah said the Centre and Congress leadership are responding very positively in providing relief to the flood-hit people.
