Spread across 2 acres of land in the heart of Raisina Road, this swanky glass panelled five floor building is all set to become a hub of activity for the country media's  fraternity.  Built at an investment  of Rs 60 crore over a three year period, the Information & Broadcasting ministry’s ambitious project, The National Media centre will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on Saturday.

The project, designed on the likes of international media centres across world capitals will be able to accommodate close to 300 media persons in its state of the art conference hall and ministries including the prime ministers office are expected to address the nation from the new building after its inauguration.

In addition, the Press Information Bureau will also shift its office to the sprawling media centre.
