Following weakness in the global markets the Sensex is likely to open with a negative gap at the opening bell.The index has support around 10,340-10,285-10,230 levels. On the upside, the index is likely to face resistance around 10,680-10735-10,785.Market analyst Shah expects the major indices to open weak, but recover and maybe close on a flat note as the day progresses. Near support for Sensex is around 10,450 and Nifty 3050.However, he adds that 10,250 should be a strong support for the index in case of a bigger fall.
