Veena is given the prestigious award in recognition of her entrepreneurial skills and business leadership in founding Emagia, a leading cash flow management company.

 
The company is backed by investments from WestBridge Capital Partners and other leading venture capitalists.

 
Leading US business women such as Carol Bartz, the chief executive officer of AutoDesk, Peggy Taylor, the president of Peoplesoft Investments, were among the recipients of such awards from FWE in the past.

 
Born and raised in Hyderabad, Veena founded Emagia in 1998 and grew the company successfully to an established emerging growth company. She has raised over $15 million in financing till date from venture capitalists, angel and corporate investors.

 
Under her leadership and vision, Emagia has established itself as a leader in the enterprise cash flow management area with leading edge products and a marquee Fortune 100 and Global 2000 customer base.

 
Emagia has its R&D center in Hyderabad employing over 50 people and has recently announced plans to expand its operations in India, according to a release here.

 
Prior to founding Emagia, Veena was a co-founder of Solix Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise application solutions, a company located in Hyderabad, India. Prior to Solix Technologies, Veena held several management and development roles at Cisco Systems, Canon Information systems and other companies.

 
Veena holds a Masters degree in computer engineering from Santa Clara University and a Bachelors of Engineering in electronics and communications from Osmania University.

 
Headquartered in Santa Clara, Emagia focuses on optimizing working capital for its customers through enterprise cash flow management. Its products integrate with leading back-office ERP financial systems. With offices in US and India, the company has several Global 2000 customers worldwide, added the release.
