"The farmers in the state will get certified and good quality of seeds for different crops to be taken up in the coming kharif season at four per cent lower price," a senior official with the
Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agriculture Development Corporation said.
The corporation has released the new price list and circulated to the societies from where the farmers purchase seeds, the official added. The price of seeds for different variety of paddy will now cost in the range of Rs 1,008 per quintal to Rs 1,056 a quintal.
Seeds of Kodo will cost Rs 2,112 a quintal; farmers can purchase a quintal of soyabean seeds for Rs 2,256 for the coming kharif season.
According to the new price list of seeds released by the corporation, Til seeds will cost Rs 6,432, Ramtil (Niger) seeds Rs 3,600, groundnut Rs 3,360, arhar Rs 3,552, moong Rs 3,840 and Urad Rs 3,264 (all price for a quintal of seeds).

The state government has offered another sop for the farmers in the coming kharif season. The interest on loans taken by the farmers will be exempted if they make advance purchase of seeds and fertilizers till May 31, the official said.
