The All India Chemists and Druggists Association today demanded that prices of life saving drugs be made affordable to the common man.
The association was prepared to take "low margins" for drugs for cancer, HIV, Kidney and Heart ailments if they are routed through the "3-tier" supply chain, president J S Shindey, told reporters here.
The association is holding its 4th National Executive meeting here on Jan 17 in which about 300 delegates from various parts of the country will participate. They will deliberate on the course to be adopted on the recently introduced amendment to the Drugs and Cosmetics act.
