The empowered committee on mega projects constituted by the Punjab government on Tuesday approved two projects worth Rs 708.88 crore.
Disclosing this here on Tuesday, the spokesperson of the chief minister’s office said the committee had cleared the mega project — Multi Model Logistic Hub (MMLH), with an investment of Rs 487.38 crore to be set up by Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation Limited (CONWARE) in collaboration with the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) in District Ludhiana over an area of 150 acres.
The spokesperson further said the empowered committee also gave its nod for the setting up of a Cricket Stadium-cum-Sports complex with seating capacity for 40,000 spectators with an investment of Rs 221.50 crore in District SAS Nagar Mohali by the Punjab Cricket Association.
