Punjab officials to monitor urea distribution

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has asked the agriculture and co-operative departments to work in tandem to ensure availability of urea to the farmers within three days. In a meeting held on Tuesday with officials, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed the officials to solve the distribution problem of urea at the society level and take strict measures to check its black marketing. The agriculture director was asked to conduct raids to check black marketing and cancel the licenses of erring dealers forthwith.
