Followed by the liberalisation by Canada in its immigration rules for students and families, the University of Windsor has opened three free help desks in Punjab to attract aspirant students of the state. |
The help desks in Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh, organised by Windsor University, Canada, in collaboration with the B N Overseas Education Services, have received overwhelming response from the students from Punjab and within a couple of days as many as 25 students got admission to the foreign university through the Jalandhar help desk only. |

Mel Broitman, director (Outreach) of Windsor University, who was here recently to interview the aspiring students, claimed with the opening of visa rules for students, it was expected that more than 300 students could get admission to Windsor University for higher studies. |
|
Broitman said, "International students who choose to stay in Canada after they graduate greatly contribute to our labour market. It is important that the students are exposed to the Canadian work force at an early stage." |
