The state government will invite expressions of interest for creating basic infrastructure for Sector V, the IT hub in Salt Lake.

Speaking at a workshop on supply chain for IT and ITES companies organised by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), P K Mitra, additional director in charge of advance planning at the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), said a public private partnership (PPP) route would be adopted for the project.

Transportation was also a problem, with only two established transport companies "" Tata Motors and Orix offering contract cars.
