R R Rausaria has taken over as the new director of the Distance Education Council, an apex body dedicated to the promotion, coordination and maintenance of standards in open and distance learning system.
Prior to joining the council, he was the registrar of the material production and distribution division of IGNOU.
He has also worked as the director of the Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education of Kurukshetra University, a press release said here.
