Railways will be spending over Rs 2300 crore in the next financial year to enhance passenger safety, Union Railways minister for state Bandaru Dattatraya said in Kolkata on Wednesday.
Large part of the fund would be spent on track renewal and repairing old bridges, the minister said adding that the allocation could go up further during the year.
