First swine flu death was confirmed in Rajasthan today after test samples of a flu-suspected woman who died here last month reported positive, an official said.
Sheela Khandelwal, 26, was admitted to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) hospital with flu-like symptoms on August 19 last. She died on August 21, an official said here.
"It is the first death due to swine flu in the state so far," O P Gupta, Director, State Medical and Health Department said.
"Three persons -- Anil Kumar (26), Bhanwar Lal (20) and Sanjay (26) -- were also tested positive, while 20 others were tested negative," he said, adding "no suspected case was today reported in the state."
"Twenty one persons have been tested positive of the flu in the state so far, while 113 have been tested negative and 33 are still awaiting test reports across the state," he said.
