Rajasthan exporters dealing in home textiles, made-ups, and handicrafts have secured orders of over Rs 700 crore in two international fairs organised recently in Delhi and Mumbai. |
Stating this, Satish Katta, president of the Federation of Rajasthan Home Textiles and Handicrafts Exporters, said exporters from the state participated in a big way in Heimtextil India 2004, held in Mumbai during October 10"�13, and the India Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) held in Delhi during October 13"�17. |

He said both the exhibitions witnessed aggressive and wide participation from exporters and over 300 of them were involved. The exporters bagged orders of Rs 100 crore at the Mumbai exhibition and those of Rs 600 crore in New Delhi. Textile orders were of Rs 250 crore, and the rest of Rs 350 crore was of handicrafts. |

Katta said diplomats visited the exhibitions and they were impressed with traditional Rajasthani products. Federation Vice-President Babu Lal Dosi said Jaipur-based Siyaram Exports bagged Mizoram's best performance award. |
