Rajasthan to focus on critical issues

Calling for greenfield airports at all important districts in Rajasthan, the Government of Rajasthan Narpat Singh Rajvi said "There is no dearth of resources available in Rajasthan. What is required is commitment."
 
He was addressing a session on 'Advantage Rajasthan : Imperatives for Growth'.
 
The session focused on four critical areas for the development of Rajasthan""industry, agriculture, education and tourism. Addressing the delegates, Rajvi said the government was working on developing these four areas.
 
He said Rajasthan was on the verge of achieving more than developed states, which was the result of government efforts in bringing about industrialisation in the state. He also said the vision was to perform better than Gujrat in the next two years.
 
Presentations were made by Ashok Sampatram, principal secretary (industries), C K Mathew, principal secretary (education), Vinod Zutshi, tourism secretary, Parvindar Singh, secretary (agriculture).
 
Industry speakers included Adesh Gupta, CEO, Liberty Shoes, Vikram Bakshi, managing director, Mc Donalds India, Sudhir Kapur, managing director, Lurgi India Ltd, Salil Singhal, chairman, Secure Meters Ltd.
 
Addressing the session Ajay S Shriram said the investment scenario in Rajasthan had never been brighter and it was being noticed globally now.
 
He praised the state government for taking proactive steps for industrialisation and the commitment shown towards human, social issues, industry and infrastructure development.
 
He said the state needed to focus on the reduction of T & D losses, water harvesting systems, and improving infrastructure.
