Former Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan will join consulting firm McKinsey as a part-time global advisor from October this year.
"Rakesh Mohan will join the McKinsey Global Institute, the economic research wing of McKinsey & Company as a part-time global advisor starting this fall," McKinsey said in an email reply to PTI.
The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), founded in 1990, is McKinsey & Company's economics research arm.
Its primary purpose is to undertake original research and develop substantive points of view on critical economic issues facing businesses and governments around the world.
"As an advisor Dr Mohan joins a long list of prominent academics that provide insights and perspectives on a range of MGI research projects on issues of global concern," the statement added.
Last month, Rakesh Mohan left Reserve Bank to join teaching assignment at the Stanford University in the US. He joined Stanford Centre International Development as a distinguished consulting professor.
He left RBI after reportedly being in the race for the top slot in the bank.
