Rajasthan Bengal Maitrayee Parishad (RBMP), an organisation formed in November last year, to strengthen Bengal-Rajasthan ties, formally extended its support to the ruling party CPI(M), on behalf of the hindi speaking 'business community' of the state.

On the sidelines of an interactive session organised by the Parishad, Narayan Jain, advocate and secretary of the organisation stated that a unique initiative would be undertaken by the organisation to woo the business community for supporting the Left Front government.

Around 40 lakh families belonging to this community currently exist in the state, so if they correctly exercise their voting rights in choosing the party, it would be useful to a large extent, informed Jain. Jain made his election debut in the 2006 Assembly elections as the CPI(M) candidate from Chowringhee.

This apart, the Left Front government had always provided an encouraging and peaceful environment for industrialisation purposes, added Jain.
