G N Naidu, the CMD of the city-based Regency Ceramics, has been conferred with the honourary doctorate of philosophy (Ph.D) by Burkes University, UK, for his achievements and contributions to the industrial and social development of Yanam.
Promoted by Naidu, Regency provides direct employment to 2,000 people in that area. Naidu has started educational institutions in Yanam to offer studies from LKG to engineering for the benefit of the company's employees and people in the area. In addition, Regency takes up many social activities in Yanam.
