Regency Ceramics reported a net profit of Rs 4.72 crore on a sales of Rs 36.97 crore for the third quarter ended December 2002, as against a net profit of Rs 5.55 crore on a sales of Rs 33.91 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
Though the profit before tax was higher at Rs 7.74 crore (Rs 7.09 cr) for the quarter, net profit fell due to higher tax outgo of Rs 3.11 crore as against Rs 1.53 crore.
The net profit for the nine-month period ended December 2002, stood at Rs 15.42 crore on a sales of Rs 109 crore as compared to a net of Rs 12.29 crore on a sales of Rs 88.93 crore in the same period last year.
