Reliance Infocomm today filed new tariffs for its ireless-in-local-loop (WLL) limited mobility services with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai). Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd also sent the new tariff structure for its cellular services to the regulator for approval.
The two firms revised their tariffs after Trai sent them a notice last week to follow the interconnect usage charges , slated to come into effect from May 1. Tata Teleservices is also expected to announce new tariffs for WLL and fixed-line services tomorrow.
Industry sources said Reliance had agreed to offer STD calls at 40 paise a minute to all other WLL operators
