The web portal www.rggvy.gov.in has been conceptualized by the ministry of power and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and aims at bringing information related to RGGVY, a component of the Bharat Nirman Programme, to the public domain.
The portal is developed an dhosted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
RGGVY aims at creation of rural electricity infrastructure and household electrification with 90% percent grant from government of India and 10% loan from REC and also at electrifying all villages and providing electricity connection to below poverty line (BPL) families free of cost.
