Rs 28 cr for tourism projects

The Union ministry of tourism has sanctioned Rs 28.27 crore for 15 state tourism projects during 2004-05.
 
According to Union minister of state for tourism Renuka Chowdhary, the projects for which the funds were sanctioned included development of Bhadrachalam as a tourist destination, celebration of Kuchipudi festival, celebration of Lumbini festivals, southern India tourist train "" feasibility report, sea cruise between Visakhapatnam-Port Blair-Chennai - feasibility report, Taramati Baradari cultural complex, development of Sri Kalahasti village, integrated development of Kurnool tourism circuit, integrated development of Hyderabad-Nalgonda-Khammam tourism circuit and development of Bhavani island.
