The mall, to be constructed on the built, operate and transfer (BOT) basis, will be built on a 5.5-acre plot near the clock tower. The authority was in the process of acquiring the land, MDDA officials told Business Standard.
The mall will comprise a multiplex theatre, a children entertainment park, a food plaza and parking space for over 700 vehicles.
The development authority has hired CB Richards, a real estate firm, as consultant for the mall.
