Sahara to kick off Rajkot housing project on Friday

The Sahara group will commence development activities at the Sahara City Homes project in Rajkot on Friday.
Sahara City Homes project is undertaken by Sahara Infrastructure and Housing to set up housing townships at 217 locations across the country.
Apart from Rajkot and Ahmedabad, Sahara's township projects have commenced in cities such as Allahabad, Bhavnagar, Bikaner, Indore, Lucknow, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jhansi and Sagar.
Satish Kumar Singh, deputy director, Sahara Parivar, said, "Soon bhoomipoojans are expected to be completed in all the 217 locations across the country."
Sahara City Home project at 217 cities covers around 20,000 acres of land, with a built-up area of 7.39 crore square metres and having more than 7.25 lakh houses.
Sahara City Homes at Rajkot is planned over 10,649 acres, located at Shella, Bopal state high way, Ahmedabad, on the national highway.
One of the most important feature of these townships is the enchanting ambiance with around 60 per cent area dedicated to greenery, extensive landscaping and tastefully manicured open spaces.
For security purpose, a seven feet high peripheral boundry has been set up around the project with three feet high fence atop, 24-hour mobile and armed security teams.
The project at Ahmedabad includes recreation and entertainment facilities such as four-screen multiplex with seating capacity of 250 each.
The townships will contain City Homes Club with a built-up area of around 2,000 sq metres with indoor games facilities, swimming pool and gymnasium.
A central park and playground spread over 40,000 sq metres will have facilities for out door games such as cricket, hockey, and football.
The townships are backed up by integrated infrastructure and efficient transportation facilities including petrol filling stations, well-lit metalled roads, and with other organised civic amenities and facilities.
