RSS chief Rajendra Singh yesterday exhorted Indian companies to rise to the challenge from MNCs, and assured them of the Sanghs fullest cooperation in this struggle.
If Indian companies produce quality goods at a competitive price, he said: We will drive out all foreign companies from the country. Foreign language and foreign money reduce our mental capacity to work towards the right direction. Singh was addressing one of the largest gathering of RSS workers and sympathisers in recent years at the Jawhaharlal Nehru Stadium here.
He countered the argument that foriegn capital was necessary for economic growth, saying the country has a saving of Rs 220,000 crore as against the Rs 20,000 crore that has come in through foreign investment. The need was to mobilise the domestic capacity to fund economic and development activities, he added.

Singh was categorical about the Sanghs agenda on liberating the three temples at Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura. It was necessary to allow unhindered worhip at the three temples, he said. Referring to demolition of the disputed Babri Masjid- structure in 1992, he charged that the then Congress government had conspired to malign the `Sangh parivar.
Rao had personally assured me that the court verdict would come by Decemebr 6 and we could start the `kar seva according to our schedule, Singh claimed. However, there was no word from the government when the judgement was postponed for December 11.
I had told Rao that the lakhs of RSS workers could get angry and anything could happen, he said. Had the process of construction of the Ram temple begun in time, nothing would have happened, he contended.
Commenting on the need to lead a simple life, Singh pooh-poohed those living in palatial government houses. The Rajas and maharajas of the yesteryears have been replaced by thousands of ministers who live like maharajas.
For renovating a Governors house, crores are spent, he noted. People, who claim to be Mahatama Gandhis followers should behave like him, he said while criticising the Congress, the socialists and others. Gandhijis ideas on cow-protection, prohibition, development and language learning are still to be implemented, he argued.
