The court, however, took note of the contention of public prosecutors J M Panchal and Chetan Shah that Sarabhai was taking liberty with her anticipatory bail conditions and had convened a press conference last week in Mumbai to garner support over the ongoing controversy.
Government advocate and public prosecutor Chetan Shah said mediapersons here that sessions judge P B Desai granted Sarabhai permission to attend a two-day programme at Pune along with directions to be present before the investigating officer on November 22 in the morning.
Sarabhai had earlier also moved an application seeking permission to be away from the state for performances between November 23 and 28 for which the hearing will be on November 22.
The same court had on November 17 rejected Sarabhai's application to modify her anticipatory bail conditions and had asked her to seek prior permission from the court before leaving the state's jurisdiction.
Sarabhai was allowed to attend a function in Mumbai between November 12 and 14 after she was granted anticipatory bail on October 29. Last month the Navrangpura police has registered criminal cases against the artiste following complaints lodged by a performer, who was allegedly cheated by Sarabhai. Since then more complaints have been lodged against Sarabhai.
