Customers of Bharti Tele-Services will be able to use a seamless mobile service while on roaming in the Asia-Pacific region from today, the company said today. |
Bharti Tele-Services, which sells its services under the Airtel brand, is a member of Asia's largest mobile alliance "" Bridge Mobile. |

Its customers can now avail of the benefits of bridge roaming, bridge prepaid, bridge enterprise and bridge concierge services in seven international markets on the alliance members' network. |

These services have been launched simultaneously in eight countries and 64 million mobile users in Asia-Pacific will benefit from them, the company said. |

The facility will replicate the familiarity of the customers' home experience, by enabling them to access the same short codes for calling customer service or accessing voice mail. |

"It also allows prepaid customers to top-up their accounts overseas at designated bridge mobile alliance member counters using local currency. Besides, Airtel customers will also be able to use the top-up service for prepaid accounts on behalf of a friend or relative back home," the company said in a release. |

The service also includes SIM card and handset replacement, special purchase promotions and free call-home support to the home operator customer service lines at selected locations, the release said. |
