Hailing the Union Budget as "development-oriented and pro-poor", Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said the qunatum jump for urban infrastructure projects and social welfare schemes would take the country forward.

The Chief Minister also welcomed an increase in the Central Plan Assistance and said a substantial increase has been made for Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) for urban infrastructure development and other sectors directly related to welfare of the people.
She expressed confidence that the Centre would definitely provide additional funds for Delhi whenever required.
