Sheila Dikshit wins Wartsila Sodhi award

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit received the 3rd Wärtsilä-Mantosh Sondhi Award late on Wednesday, for her contribution to the Indian power sector. Dikshit accepted the award from Ole Johansson, president and CEO, Wärtsilä Corporation.

Speaking on the occasion, Johansson said, "The award seeks to recognise leaders who have made valuable contributions to the power sector. As the Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit has to her credit achievements including reforms in the power sector."

Accepting the award Dikshit said, "My commitment is to make it a truly global city, with a focus on infrastructure development in the core sectors and power being one of the priority areas."
