In response to Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority's tender notice, six road construction companies submitted bids for the 34-km-long 4 -ane beach roadwork.
They are NCC, Siddhartha Constructions, G R Constructions, KMC Constructions, G Venkateswara Rao and Velecha Engineering (Mumbai), according to Vuda vice-chairman D Srinivasulu.
Vuda estimated the cost of project at Rs 24 crores. Initially, Vuda and R&B will invest nearly Rs 6-7 crores to take up this roadwork. For remaining funds, Vuda plans to seek private participation.
