This was decided at a meeting of the Indian branch of the CPA yesterday in New Delhi at which Chatterjee was present all through, West Bengal Assembly Speaker H A Halim, who is the CPA chairman, said today.
"This is an annual conference and the Lok Sabha speaker leads the Indian delegation. And, this time it was decided at the meeting that a 42-member delegation led by Chatterjee would lead it," Halim said.
Asked what would happen in case the Parliament was dissolved, Halim said, "How can I comment on that? The Lok Sabha speaker leads the delegation every year."
The CPA conference would continue till August 10.
