The controversy over the ownership of Taj Mahal, which erupted following a stake made on it by the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board, would be resolved soon, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today said. |
"I am sure that the controversy would be resolved soon, to the satisfaction of all parties concerned," Yadav told reporters after distributing cheques to girls under the 'kanya vidyadhan yojna' at his native village Saifai here. |

However, he sought to clarify that the government had no role to play in the controversy and should not be dragged into it by anyone. |

The Chief Minister, talking about the terror strike in Ayodhya, said the security personnel displayed exemplary courage in foiling the attack, consequently saving the country from a possible communal backlash. |

He said the security of sensitive religious places like Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura was a responsibilty of the state government and it was making all possible efforts to ensure that these places remained safe. |

Yadav complimented the state police for quickly working out the ayodhya attack case and expressed confidence that on the basis of good performance, the SP-led government would be able to complete its full term in the state. |
