In what is perhaps a first for the country, representatives of the government, industry, administration and common people will be coming together under one roof, with one common objective--to chart out an action plan for the development of Pune.
Lalit Kumar Jain, chairman, Kumar Builders Foundation, is organising a workshop titled "Vision Pune", on September 1.
The workshop is an attempt to bring together committed individuals and organisations in Pune under a task force, with the goal of bringing about perceptible change in the investment climate, quality of infrastructure and support services, as well as the quality of life in the city.

A galaxy of luminaries, including MP Suresh Kalmadi and Maharashtra industry minister Patangrao Kadam, will be discussing the modalities of the process.
Senior industrialist and president of the Maratha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arun Firodiya, as well as other prominent personalities will be sharing their views. Well-known Punekar, Vijay Bhatkar, will present his vision of Pune's growth potential.
The task force will be similar to the one formed in Bangalore, under the chairmanship of Infosys chief executive officer Nandan Nilekani. The task force has been a major contributor to Bangalore's rapid growth in recent times.
Ravichandar, one of the promoters of this concept, will be making a presentation on the workings of the Bangalore task force.
