The Board of Approval (BoA) for special economic zones (SEZs) today formally approved 10 SEZs, which include the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) SEZ in West Bengal. The board also gave in-principle nod to four other SEZs. Commerce Ministry officials have said that the SEZ to be built by Anil Ambani in Noida will not go through as the Uttar Pradesh government has refused to give its mandatory clearance.
