Telecom tribunal TDSAT today issued notice to S Tel over the petition of Anil Ambani-led firm Reliance Infratel (RInfra) seeking recovery of dues from the Chennai based service provider.
The TDSAT bench, headed by Justice S B Sinha, asked S Tel to file a short reply by March 14, the next date of hearing.
RInfra had approached the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) to recover dues from telecom operator S Tel, which had taken infrastructure of the Anil Ambani group firm on a 10-year lease in 2009.
The development follows the Supreme Court cancelling 122 2G licences, including those of S Tel, in the spectrum allocation case.
S Tel had got spectrum for six circles. It may also be noted that Bahrain Telecommunications, which held stake in S Tel, has decided to quit the joint venture after the apex court verdict.
